What you will learn

Introduction to Connected Leadership

Welcome to Connected Leadership! In this module, we’ll review the course framework, overall aims, and other essentials that will help you get the most out of your learning experience. We’ll also take a closer look at the terms “Connected” and “Leadership” and how we’ll be using them in this course.

Self | The Purpose-Driven, Connected Leader

In the Self module, you’ll begin your journey to becoming a purpose-driven, connected leader. You’ll start by identifying and reflecting on your individual purpose, exploring the deeply-held beliefs that have led you to this point, and drawing on those beliefs to develop a vision and action plan for the future. As part of this process, you’ll create a “life on one page” map connecting your purpose, priorities and vision of potential success. You’ll also learn some practical strategies to maximize your time and impact.

Teams | Unlocking the Potential of Working Together

In the Teams module, you’ll explore the connection between your individual purpose, priorities, potential, and progress and those of the people around you. Using a similar process to the one you used in Self, you’ll clarify the purpose of your team and use it to develop your team’s mission, vision, and values statements. You’ll also learn practical tools for leading teams, maximizing impact, and improving communication.

System | Helping to Improve the World Around Us

In the Systems module, you’ll build on the skills and tools covered in Self and Teams to identify a system-level problem you want to solve and develop a plan to solve it. Along the way, you’ll learn fundamental principles of systems thinking and how to leverage those principles to maximize your system-level impact. You’ll also learn some practical tips on how to create and maintain positive momentum in systems-level change using real-world examples.
